Acai Bowls

Acai Bowls are summer in a bowl!  The consistency is like soft serve and the toppings are endless!  They are so fun and have limitless possibilities.  If you do not have have a high speed blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec, this combination may be tough for your blender.  You will just have to try it out and see how well it works.  If you are wondering if this is breakfast, a treat or a snack, the answer is, all three!  Have fun with it and top it with the toppings that you have on hand and will love.  Enjoy!

Makes 1 large acai bowl

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 C almond milk
  • 1 frozen packet acai
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 T raw honey
  • Topping options: any fresh fruit, granola, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, hemp seeds, almond butter, peanut butter, raw honey, coconut or almond yogurt, nuts

Directions:

1.  Add the first 4 ingredients to a high speed blender.  If you do not have a high speed blender, you may want to cut the frozen banana up into small pieces beforehand.

2.  Pour into a bowl and add toppings.  Consume right away or it will start melting.
